ADMIN Partners are pleased to announce that we have signed on with the US Census Bureau to be one of their 2010 business partners. As a Census Partner, our objective is to help the US Census Bureau spread the word about the upcoming 2010 Census.
Census Day is April 1, 2010.
Since a great deal of federal funding is tied to the completion of the Census and many of you are recipients of these funds, sharing periodic information with you may be beneficial to your organizations. Here are a few quick facts.
- The Census is a count of everyone living in the US every 10 years.
- The Census is mandated by the US Constitution.
- Participation in the Census is required by law.
- The Census takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
- Federal law protects the personal information shared during the Census.
- Census data are used to distribute Congressional seats to states, to make decisions about what community services to provide and to distribute $400 billion in federal funds to local, state and tribal governments each year.

If you are interested in becoming a Census Partner, you can locate the Regional Census Office by using this address: http://www.census.gov/field/www/. Once you identify which Regional Office supports your local community; then click on becoming a Census Partner. There is a telephone number that will connect you with the Regional Partnership Office. A Census Coordinator will assist you in becoming a 2010 Partner.
The theme of the 2010 Census is “It’s In Your Hands.” We hope that getting information about the Census “in your hands” will help generate more interest and ensure your organization gets the share of funding it deserves.
