It’s that time again! Back to school time which means school staff and students are getting back into the swing of things. Here at ADMIN, we understand how busy this time of year can be for the school’s administration team. With this in mind, we are sending out a reminder that we are here to help!

The beginning of a new school year brings a lot of responsibility for school administrators; one being updates to (or the implementation of) the school’s 403(b) retirement plan. ADMIN Partners encourages Plan Sponsors to use the start to the new school year as an opportunity to check on the health of their retirement plan. Here are a few things to consider:

Does the plan still meet the needs of your school/district?

Are there amendments that can be done to improve the benefits provided to your staff?

What can you do to ensure newly hired school staff is educated on the 403(b) retirement option that is offered through the school?

Are you making updates to the employee handbook? If so, have you included Meaningful Notice to support your Universal Availability requirement?
